UK Travel VISA Requirements

The applicant must possess a current passport from his/her country of origin and it must have a minimum of 6 months remaining. The applicant must of course complete the required Travel VISA paperwork for which a recent passport sized photo is needed. Evidence that you will be leaving the UK within 6 months and that you can support yourself financially while in the UK on your Travel VISA. If a UK friend is taking care of your needs, then proof of their ability to do so is necessary. A recent proposal may require family within the UK to post a £1000 bond for visitors travelling from outside the EU, that would be forfeited if the traveller doesn't return home on time.

Extra Information that may be Required for a UK Travel VISA

Additional information such as photocopies of bank statements and/or pay slips may be required for your UK travel VISA. You will also be asked the reason for your trip ie: business or pleasure. Obtaining a UK travel VISA is not difficult, but it is not something that should be put off till the last minute. With some advance planning, there should be few problems visiting the United Kingdom. For the most part, the above assumes you'll be visiting the UK as a tourist, other conditions apply if you are applying for a UK Work VISA.
